The sofas & chairs are hand built using hardwood timber rail frames and fully coil sprung seat platforms. Tetrads skilful upholsterers then use the Harris Tweed to create a heritage piece that will become ‘an heirloom of the future. How do I purchase made-to-order items from Bowerbirds?
We offer a number of options to buy-now on the website.
If you are looking for a your own furniture/fabric combination then we can bespoke that for you. What delivery options are available?
UK Delivery: for those within the UK, our sofa delivery service ranges from £40-£125 depending on your postcode.
Outside of the UK mainland: please contact us for a bespoke quotation.
What if my sofa doesn’t fit in my space?
All of our sofas are fully bespoke and made-to-measure. Because of this, we cannot refund your sofa if it does not fit. To avoid this issue, please ensure that you have read our page about how to make sure your item is a suitable size.
How should I prepare my home for delivery?
Before delivery day, you will need to make sure that the pathway the furniture will take is clear and that the room it's going into is prepped for its arrival.
Our delivery team will make every effort to deliver your furniture without damage to your paintwork, wallpaper and woodwork but we advise that you protect these areas and remove any valuables such as rugs, mirrors and pictures to avoid any incidents.
If our delivery team have concerns about potential damage to your property or possessions, or if the pathway or room has not been prepared, then they will leave the item at the entrance to your property. You will need to sign a waiver to accept responsibility for any damage that may occur during the delivery and placement of your order if the delivery team feel that there are potential issues.
If there is limited parking or potential delivery issues, please let us know in advance so that the delivery team are aware.
Can I alter the size of a sofa, chair, or footstool?
Yes, most of our manufacturers can modify dimensions to meet your exact requirements. This includes adjustments to height, depth, and width. Contact us to learn more about the specific models available for customisation.
What should I do if I spill something on my sofa?

How can I pay for my Bowerbirds order?
You can pay directly online via debit or credit card. For made-to-order items, we’ll invoice you, allowing for payment by bank transfer or card via an included payment link. We also offer Klarna options: pay now, in three instalments, or in 30 days (subject to terms and availability).
